The Founder
Finnovia was founded by a financial data and ratings industry veteran with over 20 years of experience across some of the world's most respected information and intelligence firms. Our founder's career spans Thomson Reuters, the Economist Intelligence Unit and Fitch Ratings — organisations that built the global standards for independent ratings and data-driven intelligence.
The Economist Intelligence Unit is one of the world's most respected sovereign risk rating agencies — assessing the creditworthiness and political risk of nations across the globe using exactly the same principles that underpin FR Ratings: independence, transparency and a structured, auditable methodology. Fitch Solutions sits alongside Moody's and S&P as one of the world's three major credit rating agencies — where our founder worked directly with ratings intelligence, risk data and financial analysis across global markets.
Our founder also holds an ISO 27001 Lead Implementer certification — providing the technical foundation to assess, score and validate organisational compliance against the standard with the same rigour applied to sovereign and credit risk ratings.Having spent two decades working alongside ratings agencies and financial data providers, our founder recognised that the same rigour applied to sovereign and credit ratings — independence, comparability and analyst validation — was entirely absent from cybersecurity compliance. Finnovia was built to fill that gap.Based in Paris and covering European markets, our founder leads all FR Rating methodology, analyst validation and platform development at Finnovia.
